The face behind the Kettle…

My name is Katelyn but usually I go by Katie. I am the crazy creator behind this online bakery/tea shop.

I started out with a lot of different names while talking to some friends. Then started zeroing in on the perfect name. I wanted something fun, puny and silly. When I was younger, my family would call me K-Empty because my middle initial was M and my last T. I thought M-Tea would be a fun and silly tribute to it.

I am a creator at heart. Some would call me a Jack of all Trades when talking about crafty and artsy things. Baking and tea blends give me a chance to be creative in a different way than traditional art! No more trying to fit into a box but instead throw the box away to make something new.
